Bend Natural History Field Trip September 18th - 20th, 2020

Submitted by SuchiM on Sun, 12/15/2019 - 13:18

Dear Friends and Fellow Homeschool Adventurers,

This coming September we are organizing an educational trip to Bend from Friday, September 18th - Sunday, September 20th.  If the weather cooperates this should be the best time for the astronomy portion of our trip. We will be camping at Tumalo State Park, but there is also the option to stay elsewhere (with friends or in a hotel/ BnB) and join us for educational outings.   Tumalo has tent, RV and yurt sites. Nights can be cold in Bend in September but the Yurt sites make the camping pretty easy even for less experienced campers. Reservations open up 9 months in advance (December 18th) so if you are wanting a yurt site I would suggest reserving as soon as you can.

You can reserve your site here:  Reserve America: Tumalo State Park https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/tumalo-state-park/OR/402486/overview

We are looking at reserving sites on the loop (site numbers 001 -035)

Our tentative schedule:
